2 Easy Ways to Add Birthdays to Google Calendar

Method 1: Import Birthdays From Google Contacts
On Android
Step 1: Open theGoogle Contacts appon your Android phone. If it isn’t already installed, download and install it from thePlay Store.
Step 2:Tap on thecontactwhose birthday you want to add. Tap thePencil (Edit) iconat the top.
Step 3:Scroll down and tap on theSignificant datebox. Enter thebirth date> tap onSet> selectBirthdayunder the label.
Now, repeat the steps to add the birthdays of other contacts.
Step 4: Tap on thethree-bar iconat the upper-left corner > enableBirthdays> go toSettings. Scroll down and tap onBirthdays.
Step 5:Enablethe account from which you want to show birthdays in Google Calendar.
That’s it. Now, birthdays from Google Contacts will appear on your calendar.
On Desktop
Step 1: Open theGoogle Contactswebsite and sign in. Click on thecontactto which you want to add the birthday >Edit.
Step 2:Click on theBirthdaytext box > enter thebirthday> click onSave.
Step 3:Go back to thehomepage> check the box forContacts under the My Calendars section. If Contacts doesn’t show up, look forBirthdaysand enable it.
Step 4:If neither Birthdays nor Contacts show up, click on the+ iconnext to Other calendars.
Step 4:SelectBrowse calendars of interest.
Step 5:Check the box forYour contactsunder Birthdays to show birthdays in Google Calendar.

Method 2: Add Birthdays to Google Calendar Without Contacts
Another method that lets you add birthdays toGoogle Calendarof friends and family without contact is by creating a recurring event. Basically, you must manually add birthdays to Google Calendar, as shown below.
On Android
Step 1:OpenGoogle Calendar> tap on the+ buttonat the bottom > selectEvent.
Step 2:Titleyour birthday event. For instance, Elyan’s birthday. Also, enable the toggle forAll-day.
Step 3:Tap onDoes not repeat> selectEvery year. This creates a recurring event.
Step 4: To be reminded about your birthday in Google Calendar, tap onAdd notification.
On PC
Step 1: Open theGoogle Calendar websiteon your computer and log in to your account.
Step 2:Click onCreateat the upper-left corner > selectEvent.
Step 3:Add atitlefor your birthday event. Click on thedate and timefield and check the box forAll day.
Step 4:Also, click onDoesn’t repeat> selectCustom.
Step 5:Click on the drop-down box forRepeatand select 1 and Year, respectively. Ensure it says Repeat every 1 Year.
Step 6:Also, selectNeverunder Ends and click onDone.
Step 7:Click on theMore optionsbutton.
Step 8:Here, add a notification if you want to be reminded about the birthday event every year. Finally, click onSave.
