2 Fixes for iPhone Lock Screen Widgets Not Showing Up

Basic Fixes

Fix 1: Disable the Depth Effect on Wallpaper

Thedepth effect on the iOS 16 lock screen wallpapersis one of our favorite additions. Unfortunately, you cannot add widgets with the depth effect enabled.

Step 1:Long-press on your lock screen and tap onCustomize. SelectLock Screen.

Step 3:Tap on thethree dots, at the bottom right corner. If the depth effect is selected,uncheckthe option.

Fix 2: Add a new Language

Perhaps the widget is not being recognized at all – especially if it involves another language that is not in your preferred language.

Step 1:Open theSettingsapp, selectGeneral, and go toLanguage & Region.

Step 2:Tap on ‘Add Language…’and select the language present in the widget.

If nothing works, you can try toreset all settingson your iPhone.
