Basic Troubleshooting

Fix 1. Use the Correct Method

The steps to download images from Google Search are easy. However, sometimes, people forget them and think something is wrong.

When you download an image from Google Search, tap the image first to make it bigger. Once that happens, touch and holdthe image and selectDownload Image(Android) orSave to Photos(iPhone).

Fix 2. Check Browser Permissions

The browser or app you use to download images from Google Search should have the necessary storage permission. You can’t save the images if the browser doesn’t have permission.

Sometimes, you will get the message ‘Download complete,’ but the image will never show in your gallery or the Photos app.

Step 2: UnderAll apps, go to the app browser from which you are trying to download the image. Let’s say Chrome. Tap onChrome.

Step 3:TapPermissionsunder Chrome.

Step 4:Tap onStorage,Files and media, or Photos and Videos, depending on the option. ChooseAllow. Close the browser and try downloading the image.

Step 1:Open theSettingsapp.

Step 2:Go toPrivacy. TapPhotos.

Step 3:Tap theappused for downloading images from Google, let’s say Chrome. SelectAdd Photos only. If that’s not available, chooseAll Photos.
