Basic Fixes
Fix 1: Check Back Tap Settings
Back Tap does not function unless you bind it to a system feature, an accessibility option, or a shortcut.
Step 1:Open theSettingsapp > go toAccessibility.
Step 2:SelectTouch> tap onBack Tap.
You can see if the Back Tap feature is turned on. Further, also ensure you have assigned an action to the same.

Fix 2: Use Back Tap in the Correct Area
I found acomment on Redditthat addresses the problem – it says that the southeast region of the camera module is the best area to use Back Tap.
Not only can I vouch for this, but several replies to the comment claim it has fixed their problem!
If none of the above methods work, try toreset your iPhoneto the default settings.
