2 Ways to Fix WhatsApp Calls Not Working on Mac

Basic Fixes

Fix 1: Check Microphone and Webcam Permissions

Step 1:OpenSystem Settingsand go toPrivacy and Securityfrom the left menu.

Step 2:Scroll down and click onMicrophone. Then, check whetherWhatsAppis allowed to use it. If not,enablethe permission.

Step 3:Go back and click onCamerato check the same.

Step 4:Once done, click onScreen Timefrom the left menu and selectApp Permissions.

Step 5:Ensure the permission forCamerais enabled. Click onDoneat the bottom to save changes.

Fix 2: Run SMC Reset

You can use the SMC reset option if you have a Mac running on an Intel processor.

Step 1: Press and hold thePower Buttontill your Mac shuts down.

Step 2: After your Mac shuts down, wait for a few seconds and pressShift + Left Option + Left Controlkey. Press and hold thePower Buttonas well.

Step 3: Keep pressing the four keys for another 7 seconds. If your Mac turns on, it will play the default startup chime again while you hold down those keys.
