3 Fixes for Face ID Not Working in Telegram on iPhone

Fix 1: Enable Face ID For Telegram

Check and enable the feature of Face ID for Telegram. You can check the same settings for your iPhone and Telegram app.

On Telegram App

Step 1:Open theTelegram appand then tap onSettings.

Step 2:Tap onPrivacy and Securityand then choosePasscode and Face ID.

Step 3:Enter yourTelegram Passcode.

Step 4:Enable the option ofUnlock with Face ID.

If not, turn on the toggle to enable it. Then, relaunch Telegram and check if the problem is solved.

On iPhone Settings

Step 1:OpenSettingsand then selectTelegram.

Step 2:Enable Face ID for Telegram.

Fix 2: Enable Face ID Access

Face ID on your iPhone lets you authorize different actions like app installs, purchases, entering passwords, etc. In the case of Face ID not working in Telegram, here’s another way to check whether the app on your iPhone has provided permission to use Face ID. Here’s how.

Step 1:OpenSettingson your iPhone.

Step 2:Scroll down and then tap onFace ID & Passcode.

Step 3:Enter youriPhone Passcodeto gain access.

Step 4:Tap onOther Apps.

Step 5:From the list of apps using Face ID, check if Telegram has been permitted to use Face ID.

If not, tap the toggle next to Telegram to enable the feature.

Fix 3: Reset All iPhone Settings

If none of the solutions work, you can reset all your iPhone settings. This will also restore the Face ID settings to default.

OpenSettings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset All Settings.
