3 Fixes for iPhone Stuck on Downloading Messages From iCloud

Fix 1: Check the Available Space on the iCloud Account
Is your iCloud storage full? If so, your iPhone may have trouble downloading or syncing data from iCloud. To avoid this, it’s a good idea to check your iCloud storage status using these steps:
Step 1:Open theSettingsapp and tap on your name at the top.
Step 2:SelectiCloudand check the available storage space in the following menu.
If your iCloud storage is full, you may need to upgrade to a plan with more perks or delete unnecessary data from your account. Once done, your iPhone should be able to sync and download messages from iCloud.
Fix 2: Disable and Re-Enable Messages Sync in iCloud
Sync issues with your iCloud can also prevent your iPhone from downloading messages. You can try disabling and re-enabling message sync on your iPhone to see if that solves the issue. Here are the steps for the same.
Step 1:Open theSettingsapp, tap on your name at the top, and select iCloud.
Step 2:UnderApps Using iCloud, tapShow Alland selectMessages in iCloud.
Step 3:Turn off the toggle next toUse on this iPhoneand selectDisable and Download Messagesto confirm.
Wait for your iPhone to download all the messages and then restart it. After that, you can re-enable sync for messages.
Fix 3: Sign Out of iCloud and Sign Back In
If disabling and re-enabling message sync proves ineffective, you can try signing out of your Apple ID and then signing back in. This will refresh your account’s connection and resolve any issues that may be preventing your iPhone from downloading messages.
Step 1:Open theSettingsapp and tap on your name at the top.
Step 2:Scroll to the bottom of the page and tapSign Out. Then, tapSign Outin the top right corner.
Sign back in with your Apple ID credentials and see if that solves the problem.
