3 Fixes for No Sound in Facebook Messenger Video Calls

Fix 1: Check Audio Output Source for Video Calls in Messenger App

If you are having problems with Messenger video call sound, you need to check the audio output source for the app on your iPhone or Android. You can change the output source to your phone speaker or Bluetooth earphones if you have connected them.

Step 1:OpenFacebook Messengeron your iPhone or Android. The steps for this solution remain thesame for both platforms.

Step 2:Start avideo call with your contact.

Step 3:Tap thethree dots>Call settings>Audio output> check your output source.

Fix 2: Enable Microphone Permissions

If there is still no sound in Facebook Messenger video calls on your Android or iPhone, you need to enable the Microphone permissions for the app on your device.

On iPhone

OpenSettings>Messenger> enableMicrophoneaccess.

On Android

OpenMessenger app info>Permissions>Microphone> enable access.

Fix 3: Clear Messenger App Cache

Lastly, we recommend clearing the app cache for the Facebook Messenger app on your iPhone or Android. This will remove all preferences and login info from your device for the app.

On Android

OpenMessenger app info>Storage and cache>Clear cache.

On iPhone
