3 Fixes for Voice Memos Not Syncing Between iPhone and Mac

Basic Fixes

Fix 1: Check iCloud Access for Voice Memos

To sync app data across your Apple devices, allow the app access to your iCloud account. The same is applicable to the Voice Memos app on your iPhone and Mac. So, check and give Voice Memos access to iCloud.

On iPhone

Step 1:OpenSettings>profile name>iCloud.

Step 2:Tap onShow Allto open the Apps using iCloud list.

Step 3:Scroll down and enable the toggle forVoice Memosif not already.

On Mac

Step 1:OpenSettings>profile name>iCloud.

Step 2:Click oniCloud Drive.

Step 3:Click onOptionsnext to Apps Syncing to iCloud Drive.

Step 4:Under Documents and Data, scroll down and enableVoice Memosif not already.

Fix 2: Disable Low Power Mode

When you enable Low Power Mode on your Mac or iPhone, your device stops performing heavy tasks in the background toprevent battery drain. This includes data syncing between your Apple devices. So, we suggest disabling Low Power mode on your iPhone and Mac.

For iPhone

OpenSettings>Battery> disableLow Power Mode.

For Mac

Step 1:OpenSettings>Battery.

Step 2:Click thedrop-down menufor Low Power Mode.

Step 3:SelectNever.

Step 4:Close the window andopen Voice Memosto check if the problem is solved.

Fix 3: Transfer Voice Memos via AirDrop

If none of the solutions work, the last option is to transfer your voice recordings via AirDrop from your iPhone to your Mac. Here’s how.

Step 1:Open theVoice Memos appon your iPhone.

Step 2:Tap on thevoice recordingthat you want to transfer.

Step 3:Tap thethree horizontal dotson the right.

Step 4:SelectShareand chooseAirDrop.

Step 5:Tap on yourMacBook’s nameto transfer the file.
