3 Ways to Change Default Background Color in Chrome

Method 1: Use the Customize Chrome Button
The easiest way to change the background color in Chrome is to use the Customize Chrome button. Follow the steps below.
Step 1:Launch your Chrome browser.
Step 2:Click theCustomize Chromebutton at the bottom right corner.
Step 3:Here, you can switch betweenDarkandLightmode and select any applicable theme options.
Step 4:You may also click theChange themeoption and select from a list of available themes.
Method 2: Update Mode From Chrome Settings
The Chrome mode Setting also lets you choose between Light and Dark modes and use the default system mode. Follow the steps below.
Step 1:Launch theChromebrowser.
Step 2:Type the path below in your address bar and clickEnter.
Step 3:Under Mode, selectDevice,Light, orDarkto change the Background color of Chrome.
Method 3: Use a New Chrome Theme
Earlier, one had to use third-party themes to change the color of Google Chrome. However, Google introduced its set ofthemes for Chrome. So, you should change the theme to one of the official themes to fix the issue in your current theme or change the background color.
Step 1:LaunchChrome> go to thethemes pageon the Chrome store.
Step 2:You will find various themes listed there. Click on thethemethat you want to apply.
Step 3:ClickAdd to Chromefor the theme you want to use. That’s it. Your Chrome will now have a new look.
Note that themes may also change yourdefault incognito color.
