Basic Fixes

Fix 1: Check Cellular Data for Apple Music

If Apple Music shows an error message while using mobile data only, check if you have enabled internet access for it in the first place. If not, you need to provide mobile data access. Here’s how to do it.

Step 1:Open theSettingsapp. Tap onMobile Data.

Step 3:Scroll down to findMusicand ensure to turn on the toggle for the same.

Fix 2: Disable Low Data Mode

Enabling Low Data Mode on your iPhone could restrict Apple Music from fetching content from its servers. Disable it to see if it fixes the problem.

Step 1:Open theSettings app. Tap onCellular Data/Mobile data.

Step 2:Tap onMobile Data Options(or Cellular Data Options).

Step 3: Tap onData Mode. Ensure you haven’t selected theLow Data Modeoption. Select eitherAllow More Data on 5GorStandard.

Additionally, ensure you’ve not enabled Low Data Mode for Wi-Fi networks as well. Open theSettings app, tap onWi-Fi, and tap on theinfo iconnext to the connected network. Then, turn off the toggle forLow Data Mode.

Fix 3: Reset Network Settings

Resetting Network Settingswill reset all the network-related configurations on your iPhone and establish a fresh connection. There is a good chance that Apple Music will work as usual after this.

Note: This option deletes the Wi-Fi passwords from your iPhone and other network configurations. So, save Wi-Fi passwords before proceeding to the steps.

Step 1:Open theSettingsapp and tap onGeneral. Tap onTransfer and Reset.

Step 2:SelectReset. Tap onReset Network Settings. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
