3 Ways to Fix Chrome Not Opening on Windows 11

Fix 1: Run Compatibility Troubleshooter
Compatibility issues can often prevent apps and programs from launching on your PC. For such occasions, Windows 11 includes acompatibility troubleshooterthat can automatically detect and fix these problems. Here’s how to use it:
Step 1:Right-click onChrome’s iconand selectProperties.
Step 2:In the Properties window, switch to theCompatibilitytab > clickRun compatibility troubleshooter.
From there, follow the on-screen instructions to finish troubleshooting. After finishing it, go ahead and see if you can open Chrome.
Fix 2: Delete User Profile
If yourChrome user profile has become corrupt, Windows might fail to load the program itself. To fix this, try deleting the folder that contains your profile data.
Step 1:Press theWindows key + Rto launch the Run dialog box. In the text box, paste the below command and pressEnter.
Step 2:In the File Explorer window, look for theDefaultfolder and create a copy of that folder on your Desktop for backup purposes.
Step 3:Return to the File Explorer window > select theDefaultfolder > click thetrash iconat the top.
Fix 3: Reinstall Google Chrome
If nothing works, uninstall and reinstall Chrome. This will remove old data associated with Chrome and allow you to start from scratch. Plus, you’ll also update Chrome in the process.
Step 1:Press theWindows key + Rto open the Run dialog box. Typeappwiz.cplin the box and hitEnter.
Step 2:Scroll down to find and selectGoogle Chrome> clickUninstallat the top.
Follow the on-screen prompts to remove the browser. Then, restart your PC andinstall Google Chromeagain.
