3 Ways to Fix Discord Stuck on Checking for Updates

Preliminary Fixes

Fix 1: Delete Discord App Data

Step 1:Open the Run application usingWindows + R, type or paste the below command, and hitOK.

Step 2:Find Discord and delete all the files inside it.

You have successfully cleared stored cache files, preventing Discord from getting stuck on checking for updates again. If this didn’t fix the issue, you may need to run Discord as an administrator; continue reading.

Fix 2: Run Discord as Administrator

Step 1:Close theDiscordapp and pressWindows + Shift + Esc.

Step 2:Choose theprogramand hitEnd task.

Step 3:Next, searchDiscord> selectRun as administrator.

Fix 3: Uninstall and Reinstall Discord
