3 Ways to Fix Facebook “No Data Available” Error on Desktop and Mobile

Try Basic Fixes

Fix 1: Disable Extensions

One of your third-party extensions may be interfering with Facebook. To rule out that possibility, disable all your browser extensions and try using Facebook again.

To disable extensions, typechrome://extensions(Chrome) oredge://extensions(Edge) in the URL bar at the top and pressEnter. Then, use the toggles to turn off all the extensions.

After this, restart your browser and use Facebook again. If you don’t encounter any errors, enable your extensions one by one until the issue occurs again. Then,remove the problematic extensionfrom your browser.

Fix 2: Clear Browser or App Cache

Corrupt or outdated browser cache data is a common cause of browser-related issues. If that’s the caseclearing the browser cache and cookiesshould help.

To clear the browser cache in Chrome or Edge:

Step 1:Press theCtrl + Shift + Deletekeys to open the Clear browsing data panel.

Step 2:Click the drop-down menu to selectAll time. Then, check the boxes forCookies and other site dataandCached images and files. Then, hit theClear databutton.

Similarly, corrupt Facebook app cache data on your phone can also cause it to malfunction. Hence, it’s best to clear the Facebook app cache on your phone.

Step 1:Long-press on the Facebook app icon and tap theinfo iconfrom the resulting menu.

Step 2:Go toStorageand tap theClear cacheoption at the bottom.

Fix 3: Log Out of the Facebook Mobile App

Sometimes, authentication issues with your Facebook account can prevent the app from loading and trigger the “no data available” error. Signing out of the Facebook app and signing back in usually helps fix such problems.

Step 1:Open the Facebook app and tap themenu icon(three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner.

Step 2:Scroll down to tap onLog out. SelectLog Outagain to confirm

If you are using a computer, click yourprofile iconin the top right corner and selectLog Out.

Now,sign back into your Facebook accountand check if you still get any errors. This should resolve any pertinent issues you may have. If you are still facing the issue, try reaching out toFacebook supportto troubleshoot the issue.
