3 Ways to Fix Fire TV Stick Mirroring Not Working or Freezing

Screen Mirroring Requirements and Limitations for Fire TV Stick
Before starting, let us look at certain conditions that you might need to meet when screen mirroring your device to your Fire TV Stick:

Fix 1: Clear the App Cache on Fire TV Stick
Over time, most apps collect cache to speed up processes. But this app cache can hog the storage space, slowing down other Fire TV Stick functions. So, clear the cache to free up Fire TV Stick storage space and use the screen mirroring feature again. Here’s how:
Step 1:Open theSettingsmenu on your Fire TV Stick and selectApplications.
Step 2:Here, selectManage Installed Applications.
Step 3:From the list of apps, select therelevant one.
Step 4:SelectClear cache.
Now, go back to the app list screen and repeat the above steps to clear the cache for other apps on your Fire TV Stick.
Fix 2: Uninstall Excess Apps on Fire TV Stick
Your Fire TV Stick might not process the screen mirroring request if it doesn’t have sufficient storage space. So, use the uninstall options to delete apps that are no longer required from your Fire TV Stick. This will help free up space on your Fire TV Stick. Here’s how to do it.
Step 1:OpenSettings> selectApplications.
Step 2:Then, selectManage Installed Applications.
Step 3:Now, select theapp you wish to delete.
Step 4:SelectUninstall. If prompted, selectUninstallagain to finish the process. Repeat these steps to uninstall any other apps from your Fire TV Stick.
Fix 3: Reset Your Fire TV Stick
Resetting your Fire TV Stickwill remove any apps or settings that cause screen mirroring to not work properly. However, it will also delete all account information, apps, etc., from your Fire TV Stick and reset it to factory settings. Follow the below steps to proceed.
Step 1:Open yourFire TV Stickand selectSettings. SelectMy Fire TV.
Step 2:Here, selectReset to Factory Defaults.
Step 3:When prompted, selectResetto confirm.
Now wait for your Fire TV Stick device to finish resetting. Once it has done so, set it up and try using screen mirroring again.
