Preliminary Fixes

Fix 1: Launch Word in Safe Mode

Launching MS Word in safe mode disables Grammarly and other add-ins, eliminating potential conflicts or performance bottlenecks caused by these extensions.

Step 1:Press theCtrl keyand click on theWord iconon the desktop or Taskbar.

Step 2: A pop-up will ask you to open Microsoft Word in safe mode. HitOK.

Step 3:Go toFilefrom the menu bar > selectOptions.

Step 4: Now, selectAdd-ins> clickCOM Add-insfrom the Manage menu > click onGo.

Step 5:Disable add-ins > clickOK.
