3 Ways to Fix Snapchat Not Loading Snaps

Try Basic Fixes

Fix 1: Check App Permissions

If the Snapchat app doesn’t have the necessary permissions to access your phone’s storage or mobile data, it may not work as intended. Hence, allow Snapchat all the permissions it needs.

On Android

Step 1:Long-press theSnapchat app iconand tap theinfo iconfrom the menu that pops up. Then, selectPermissions.

Step 2:Enable all the permissions one by one.

On iPhone

Step 1:Open theSettingsapp on your iPhone and scroll down to tap onSnapchat.

Step 2:Enable all the permissions from here.

Fix 2: Remove and Re-Add Friends

Is Snapchat failing to load snaps from a particular friend? If so, try removing and re-adding your friend on Snapchat.

Step 1:Open Snapchat and visit your friend’s profile, tap thethree-dot menu iconat the top, and selectRemove Friend.

Step 2:SelectRemovewhen prompted.

Once removed, add your friend again and check if the issue is resolved.

Fix 3: Clear Snapchat Cache

Snapchat, like most apps, collects cache data as you load stories, download filters, or view Memories. If this data has become corrupted, you’re likely to encounter problems. To fix this, you mustclear Snapchat cache dataand try again.

Step 1:In the Snapchat app, go to yourprofileand tap thegear iconat the top right corner.

Step 2:Scroll down toAccount Actionsand tap onClear Cache. ChooseContinuewhen prompted.
