3 Ways to Fix ”This Reel Is No Longer Available” Error on Instagram

On any given day, you can catch her chained to her laptop, meeting deadlines, writing scripts, and watching shows (any language!).

Basic Fixes:

Fix 1: Send the Reel to Someone Else

Reels that fail to send will still be available in that user’s Chat window. However, if you resend it, it will show you an error. If so, send that Reel to someone else first. From their Chat window, try sharing it with the relevant user again. Here’s how to do it.

Step 1:Open the relevantReelon Instagram > tap theSend icon> select anotheraccount> hitSend.

Step 2:Now, go to the main page and tap theChat icon. Tap on theaccountwith which you shared the Reel.

Step 3:Locate theReeland tap theSendicon. You can also open theReeland tap theSendicon.

Then, select the relevant contact and share the Reel. The error should go away now if the Reel is still available.

Fix 2: Clear the Instagram App Cache

Corrupt app caches can interfere with certain app functions. So, if you repeatedly get an error when sharing Reels with a particular contact, tryclearing the Instagram cache. This can help fix or offset the error for some time. Here’s how to do it on your Android phone.

Step 1:OpenSettings> tap onApps>Instagram.

Step 2:Tap onStorage>Clear cache.

This will clear Instagram’s cache on your Android device. If you’re an iPhone user, consideroffloading the Instagram appto do the same.

Fix 3: Reinstall Instagram

If you can’t share Instagram Reels due to an app setting, uninstalling the Instagram app can help eliminate the problem. Once you reinstall the app, it will install a fresh copy, sans the problematic setting. Here’s how to do it on Android and iPhone.

On Android

Step 1:Long-press theInstagram appand tap onUninstall. Tap onOKto confirm.

Once done, go to the Play Store and reinstall Instagram. Sign in again and share the Reel with the relevant contact.

On iPhone

Step 1:Long-press theInstagram appand tap onDelete App. Tap onDeleteto confirm.

Wait for the app to be uninstalled. Then, open the App Store andreinstall Instagram. Complete the app setup and try sharing the Reel with the relevant contact to check.
