Try These Basic Fixes
Fix 1: Disable Attention-Aware Features
Attention Aware uses your iPhone’s front camera to lower thevolume of alarmsor phone calls when you look at the screen. This may lead you to believe that your iPhone’s volume is going down. If you don’t want this to happen, disable the Attention-Aware features on your iPhone.
Step 1:Open theSettingsapp and scroll down to tap onFace ID & Passcode. Then, enter your passcode to verify your identity.
Step 2:Turn off the toggle forAttention-Aware Features.
Fix 2: Check if the Issue Is App-Related
If the volume changes only occur while using a specific app, the problem may be with the app itself. You can check the App Store on your iPhone to see if any updates are available for the problematic app.
You can tryre-installing the app on your iPhoneif updating it does not fix the issue.
Fix 3: Reset Your iPhone
If your iPhone’s volume level is still going up or down by itself, consider resetting it as a last resort. Since this option resets all your iPhone settings to default, it’s likely to fix the issue.
Step 1:Open theSettingsapp and tap onGeneral>Transfer or Reset iPhone.
Step 2:Tap onResetat the bottom and selectReset All Settingsfrom the resulting menu. When prompted, enter your iPhone’s passcode.
Once you finish resetting your iPhone, the issue should not bother you.
