Method 1: Use Hidden Album to Lock Photos With Face ID on iPhone

Step 1:TapSelectat the top and select thephotos and videosyou want to hide.

Step 2:Tap thethree horizontal dots menuat the bottom-right corner > selectHideand confirm your decision.

Step 3:In theAlbumstab, scroll to the Utilities section to find theHiddenalbum.

Apple also offers an option to hide the Hidden album from the Photos app.

Open theSettingsapp on your iPhone > scroll down to tapPhotos> disable theShow Hidden Albumtoggle.

If you have enabled iCloud media backup, the Photos app syncs your hidden albumacross all the devicesusing the same Apple ID.

Method 2: Use Google Drive

Step 3:After completing the upload, tap thehamburger menuat the top-left corner and selectSettings.

Step 4:SelectPrivacy Screenand enable it.

Step 5:Setauthenticationtime limit. When you open the app, Google Drive will require a Face ID confirmation.

Method 3: Use OneDrive and Private Vault

Microsoft 365 users may preferOneDrivesince it has 1TB of storage. Here’s how to lock photos with Face ID on iPhone and iPad using OneDrive.

Step 1:Download and open theOneDrive appand sign in to it. Tap the+ iconat the top-right corner and selectUpload.

Step 2:After you upload, tap your account picture at thetop-left cornerand go toSettings>Passcode.

Step 3:EnableRequire Passcode. Now, enter apasscodeand enableFace IDin this menu.

If you want another layer of security, move your private photos to the Personal Vault.

SelectPersonal Vaultin the Files menu and follow theon-screen instructionsto set it up with a six-digit code. Then, you can open the Personal Vault folder and upload photos and videos.
