Method 1: Open Calculator Using Your Browser
Your browser can also open some native Windows 11 apps, like the Calculator app. Here’s how.
Step 1:OpenGoogle ChromeorMicrosoft Edgeon your desktop, typems-calculator://in the address bar, and pressenter.
Step 2:Click theOpen Calculatoroption in the prompt to launch the Calculator app.

Method 2: Open Calculator Using Command-Line Tools
Command-line tools, like Windows PowerShell and Command Prompt, can be used to interact with your computer using text-based commands. So, using these, open the Calculator app on your Windows 11 PC. We’re using Command Prompt for demonstration. Here’s how.
Step 1:Open Command Prompt, typeCalc, and pressenterto run the command. This should open the Calculator app.
Method 3: Create a Shortcut to Open Calculator
If you regularly use the Calculator app, create a desktop shortcut to access it from your Windows 11 device’s desktop quickly. Follow these steps to create a Calculator shortcut on your Windows 11 PC.
Step 1:Right-click on the black space of your desktop. Then, go toNewand click onShortcut.
Step 2:Type%WinDir%\System32\calc.exein the Type the location of the item field and click onNext.
Step 3:Name theshortcutand click onFinish.
The Calculator app shortcut is created on your desktop. You can double-click it to open the Calculator app from the desktop.

Bonus: Pin Calculator App to the Taskbar
You can also pin the Calculator app to the taskbar on your Windows 11 device. This will let you open the Calculator app without leaving your currently open app or program. Here’s how to do it.
Step 1:Open the Calculator app using any of the above ways. Now, go to theCalculator app iconin the taskbar and right-click on it.
Step 2:Here, click onPin to taskbar.
This will ensure the calculator app is visible in the taskbar along with all the other pinned apps. If you no longer require it, follow the above steps to unpin it from the taskbar on Windows 11.
