3 Ways to Stop iPhone Wi-Fi From Turning on Automatically

Fix 1: Turn Off Wi-Fi in Settings

When you toggle off Wi-Fi from the Control Center, it only turns it off temporarily. You must go to Settings and disable Wi-Fi to turn it off until you manually enable it.

Go toSettings>Wi-Fiand turn off the toggle.

Fix 2: Turn Off Auto-Join

If you don’t want your iPhone to connect to a specific network automatically, here’s how you can change the settings.

Step 1:Go toSettings > Wi-Fi> Tap on theInfobutton next to the Wi-Fi network your iPhone is automatically connecting to.

Step 2:Turn offAuto-Join.

Step 3:Further, if you don’t want your iPhone to connect to a hotspot automatically, selectAuto-Join Hotspotin the Wi-Fi settings page, andturn it off.

Fix 3: Reset Network Settings

If none of the above methods fix the issue, tryresetting the network settings. This will restore all settings to their default values, thereby fixing any misconfiguration. However, this will remove all saved network passwords, settings and Bluetooth devices.

Go toSettings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Resetand tap onReset Network Settings.
