Send a Message to Yourself on iMessage
If you want to jot down something or remind yourself of something, text yourself on your iPhone or Mac using iMessage. Follow the below steps:
On iPhone
Step 1: OpeniMessageon your iPhone and swipe down to reveal thesearch bar.
Note: If this is the first time you’re texting yourself, tap on the new message icon (pencil and paper icon) at the top right and follow the below steps.
Step 2: Type yournameorphone numberand tap on yourprofileorcontact cardfrom the results. Then, tap on the+ buttonto open the menu.
You can now send yourself images, texts, voice notes, etc.
On Mac
Step 1: Open theSpotlightsearch by pressing the Cmd + Space bar on your keyboard. Search foriMessageand click oniMessageto open it.

How to Forward iMessage to Yourself
Since iMessage doesn’t let you star a message, it can feel like finding a needle in a haystack while looking for an important message. Instead, you can choose to forward the message to yourself. Here are the steps to take.
On iPhone
Step 1: Open theiMessage chat> long-press on themessage(or photo/video) to forward it to yourself > tapMore.
Step2:Tap and check themessagesyou wish to forward > choose theforward buttonnear the bottom right corner of the screen > draw theaddress bar.
Step3:Search for yourprofile> tap on it from the results. Tap thesend buttonto forward the message to yourself. And that’s it.
On Mac
Step 1: Open theiMessagechat > right-click on themessageyou want to forward to yourself > clickForward.
Step 2: Click on theaddress bar> type yournameto search for your chat.
Step 3: Click on yournamefrom the results.
Step 4: Press theReturnkey on your keyboard to forward the message to yourself.
