4 Fixes for Links Not Opening in WhatsApp on iPhone and Android

Basic Fixes

You need to check and enable access for opening external links on your Android phone. Here’s how.

Step 1:Long-press theWhatsAppapp icon and then tap onApp Info.

Step 2:Tap onOpen By Default. Then, tap the toggle next toOpen Supported Linksto enable the feature.

You can try enabling or disabling and then re-enabling the Link Previews feature in WhatsApp. Basically, you can try tinkering with this feature and see if the problem gets solved.

OpenWhatsApp>Settings>Privacy>Advanced> tap the toggle next toDisable Link Previews.

Fix 3: Clear WhatsApp Cache

To improve overall usage and performance, WhatsApp collects the Cache data over a while on your iPhone and Android. But, the Cache data can get corrupted leading to issues like links not opening in WhatsApp. We suggest clearing the WhatsApp Cache and checking if this solves the issue.
