4 Ways to Add Audio to Video on iPhone

Method 1: Use the Photos App

The default Photos app lets youcreate a memory with several photos and videos. After you create a memory, add one of the built-in audio tracks or pick one from Apple Music.

Step 1:Open thePhotosapp on your iPhone. Selectphotos and videoson the default Library tab.

Step 2:Tap theShare iconat the bottom > selectAdd to Album> tapNew Album. Give it a relevant name and tapSave.

Step 3:Go toAlbums> select your newly created album. Tap thethree dots menuat the top and selectPlay Memory Video.

Step 4:The Photos app starts playing a memory. Tap themusicicon.

Step 5:Check the current audio track. Select themusic iconand add your preferred soundtrack from the following menu.

When you select a song from the Apple Music library, it requires an active subscription to the music streaming service.

Step 6:Tap theshare iconat the top-right corner and selectSave Video.

Method 2: Use iMovie

iMovie is a professional tool to create beautiful movies like never before. The app is available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and it’s free to download and use.

Step 1:Install and openiMovieand selectMovieunder the Start New Project menu.

Step 2:Select videos and photos and tapCreate Movieat the bottom. Tap on the+ icon.

Step 3:SelectAudio.From the My Music menu, you can select a soundtrack, sound effect, or audio clip. Let’s select Soundtracks.

Step 4:Tap+beside an audio clip. iMovie adds the audio clip to your video. Tap theplay buttonto check the preview and hitDone.

Step 5:Select theShare iconat the bottom and tapSaveVideo.

Method 3: Use the Apple Clips App

While iMovie is geared towards professionals, Apple offers a consumer-friendly Clips app for creating fun videos on the go. The app allows you to add different effects, dynamic music, emojis, stickers, and more to your video for free.

Step 1:Install and open theClipsapp > tap thegallery icon> openPhotos> select avideo.

Step 2:TapAddto add it to the project.

Step 3:Select yourvideo> tapMuteto remove the current sound > tap themusic iconat the top.

You can add one of the built-in soundtracks or pick one from theMy Musicsection. Once you select a soundtrack, tap theplay iconand check it in action with your video. TapDone.

Step 4:Tap theshare iconat the bottom right > selectSave Video.

Launch the Photos app and find your edited video with audio clips.

Method 4: Use Adobe Premier Rush

Step 1:Download and open theAdobe Premier Rushapp on your iPhone. TapCreate a new project> select avideofrom the following menu.

Step 2:After importing a video in Premier Rush, selectAudioat the bottom. You canmute the audioand tapBrowse.

Step 3:Select an audio track and tapAdd.

Note:Some soundtracks require a subscription, and you can’t import an audio clip from your iPhone

After you are satisfied with the output, tapShareat the top > check the estimated video size > hitExport.
