Paurush dabbles around iOS and Mac while his close encounters are with Android and Windows. Before becoming a writer, he produced videos for brands like Mr. Phone and Digit. On weekends, he is a full-time cinephile trying to reduce his never-ending watchlist, often making it longer.
Basic Fixes
Fix 1: Enable Automatic App Updates
Instead of relying on manually updating apps, you can choose to enable automatic updates in the Play Store for your Android TV.
Open thePlay Store > Profile icon > Settings > Auto-update apps > Auto-update apps at any time.
Fix 2: Clear Cache and Data For Google Play Store
Since we are talking about app updates, we suggest clearing the Play Store cache on your Android TV. Once done, sign in again to your account.
Go to theApps tab > Long-press the Play Store icon > Select Info > Choose Clear data and Clear cache.
Fix 3: Uninstall Play Store Updates
With every software update, the Play Store also receives a new version on your Android TV. We suggest uninstalling the current update of Play Store.
Long-press the Play Store icon > Select Info > Choose Uninstall updates.
Fix 4: Reset Android TV
If none of the solutions work, we suggest resetting all preferences on your Android TV. Once done, install all your apps again.
OpenSettings > Device Preferences > Reset.
