4 Ways to Fix Dynamic Lock Not Working on Windows 11

Fix 1: Disable and Enable Dynamic Lock Under Windows Settings
Disabling and enabling the Dynamic Lock feature under Windows 11 settings refreshes it, fixing existing glitches preventing you from using the feature.
Step 1:Open WindowsSettings(press the Windows + I shortcut), selectAccountsfrom the left sidebar, and clickSign-in options.
Step 2:SelectDynamic lock, uncheckAllow Windows to automatically lock your device when you’re away, wait a few seconds, and turn it back on.
Fix 2: Tweak Windows Registry to Fix Dynamic Lock Not Working
If the Dynamic Lock feature in Windows 11 settings is either not working or is greyed out, it implies the feature is disabled on your PC. Tweak the Windows registry using theRegistry Editorapp to enable and use it.
Step 1:Click thesearch iconin the taskbar, searchRegistry Editor, and selectRun as administrator.
Step 2:Copy-paste the following path in the Registry Editor navigation bar, and pressEnter. It will automatically select theWinlogonkey.

Fix 3: Change Group Policy Settings
Besides Registry Editor, you can edit theWindows Hellopolicy using the Local Group Policy Editor to fix the Dynamic Lock not working issue on Windows 11.
Note:If you use the Windows 11 Home edition,enable the missing Local Group Policy Editorfrom the Command Prompt.
Step 1:Press theWindows + R shortcutto open the Run dialog, typegpedit.msc, and pressEnter.
Step 2:Navigate to the following path in the Local Group Policy Editor Window and double-click theConfigure dynamic lock factorspolicy on the right.
Step 3:Set its value toEnabled, clickApply, and selectOK.
Fix 4: Repair Corrupt System Files
Lastly, Dynamic Lock may fail to work on Windows 11 if its core system files are corrupt. Run theSFC (System File Checker)and DISM (Deployment Image Servicing and Management) scans to repair and restore the system image.
Step 1:Press theWindows key, searchcmd, and clickRun as administrator.
Step 2:TypeSFC /scannowin the console and pressEnterto let System File Checker repair corrupt system files.
Step 3:Finally, execute the following DISM commands sequentially on the console and reboot your PC.
