4 Ways to Fix Messages Not Syncing Between iPhone and iPad

Basic Fixes:
Fix 1: Enable Text Forwarding to iPad
If you have disabled text forwarding to iPad, your iPhone won’t forward messages to the connected devices. You need to enable text forwarding for your iPad.
Step 1:LaunchSettingsand tap onMessages. SelectText Message Forwardingand enable the toggle for youriPad.
Relaunch the Messages app on your iPad and wait for it to sync your conversations from your iPhone.
Fix 2: Turn off and on iMessage
Are you facing issues with iMessage syncing between your iPhone and iPad? You can disable and enable iMessage service on your iPhone and try again. Here’s how to do it.
Step 1:LaunchSettingsand tap onMessages. Disable theiMessagetoggle. Enable it after some time.
Fix 3: Sign Out From Apple Account and Sign Back In
You can sign out from your Apple account and sign in again to resolve any account authentication issue. Here’s what you need to do.
Step 1:OpenSettingsand tap on youraccount. Scroll down and selectSign out.
Follow the on-screen instructions to finish the process. Then, log in with your Apple account details, and Messages will sync between two devices with ease.
Fix 4: Reset Network Settings
If your messages are still not syncing between your iPhone and iPad, it’s time toreset the network settingson both devices. We will use iPhone screenshots in the steps below. You can follow the same on your iPad too.
Step 1:OpenSettingsand tap onGeneral. Tap onTransfer or Reset iPhone.
Step 2:Tap onReset. Then, tap onReset Network Settingsandconfirmthe same.
Perform the same on your iPad. Then, connect to the relevant Wi-Fi network again and wait for the messages to sync again on both devices.
