4 Ways to Fix Microsoft Teams Keeps Asking to Sign in on Windows 10/11

Fix 1: Clear Teams Cache

Microsoft Teams collects cache in the background to improve loading times and the overall app experience. However, a corrupt cache can lead to issues such ashigh CPU usage, screen sharing not working, and continuous prompts to sign in.

In such cases, clearing the Microsoft Teams cache can help.

Step 1:Press theWindows key + Rto open the Run dialog box. Type%appdata%\Microsoft\Teamsin the field next to Open and hitEnter.

Step 2:Select all folders and right-click on them. Then, click thetrash icon.

Open the Teams app again, sign in with your account details, and start using it.

Fix 2: Remove Microsoft Teams Credentials

Another reason you might experience sign-in issues isthat the Teams account details stored in theCredential Managerare outdated. Here’s howto fix that.

Step 1:Press theWindows key + Sto open the search menu. TypeCredential Managerin the box and hitEnter.

Step 2:In the Credential Manager window, clickWindows Credentials.

Step 3:Remove all themsteamsentries and restart your PC. After that, check if you can log into the Teams app.

Fix 3: Repair or Reset Microsoft Teams on Windows

Your Windows PC comes with a handy app repair tool. You can use it to fix any issues with the Teams app causing sign-in problems.

Step 1:Press theWindows key + Ito open the Settings app and go toApps>Installed apps.
