Basic Fixes

Fix 1: Select Network Manually

By default, your Samsung phone is configured to find and connect to your carrier’s network automatically. This can sometimes result in the “Not registered on network” error. To fix this, select the correct network manually.

Step 1:Open theSettingsapp on your phone and go toConnections > Mobile Networks.

Step 2:SelectNetwork operatorsand turn off the toggle forSelect automatically. After that, select your network from the list.

Fix 2: Change the Preferred Network Type

Such network registration errors can also occur if you’re in an area where the set network type is unavailable. To avoid this, configure your Samsung phone to pick the available network type automatically.

Step 1:Open theSettingsapp on your phone and navigate toConnections > Mobile networks.

Step 2:SelectNetwork modeto choose5G/LTE/3G/2G (auto connect).

Fix 3: Update APN Settings

Another reason you might get this error is if you’ve recently changed your service provider or migrated to a different plan with the same carrier. You can try to fix it by updating the APN (or Access Point Name) settings. You must contact your service provider to get these settings.

Step 1:Open theSettingsapp on your phone and navigate toConnections > Mobile networks>Access Point Names.

Step 2:Tap theAddoption at the top right corner. Enter the information provided by your carrier, tap thethree-dot menuat the top, and hitSave.

Step 3:Go back to the previous menu and select thenewly created APN.

Fix 4: Reset Network Settings

If you still can’t fix the “Not registered on network” error, considerresetting the network settings. Here’s how:

Step 1:Open theSettingsapp on your Galaxy phone and scroll down to selectGeneral management.

Step 2:TapResetand selectReset network settingsfrom the following screen.
