On any given day, you can catch her chained to her laptop, meeting deadlines, writing scripts, and watching shows (any language!).
Basic Fixes:
Fix 1: Ensure You’re Using the Correct Device
Because limited devices support the Spotify Jam feature, you might be unable to start a Jam session on Spotify if the device currently connected to your Spotify app is not supported. So, use the below steps to switch your output devices and check if this fixes the issue.
Step 1:OpenSpotifyand tap on thedeviceicon. Select the relevantdeviceand try playing something.
Fix 2: Ensure the Main Host Doesn’t Have Issues
For Spotify Jam to work, the host must also meet all the above criteria. If the host is having problems, it will cause issues for the people joining the Jam session. You might also get the “Waiting for host to start playback” error if the host isn’t currently playing anything. So, ensure the host has started playback.
Fix 3: Ask the Host to Send Another Invite Link
If you’re experiencing issues or can’t join the Spotify Jam session, request the host to send you a fresh joining link. This can help you join the Jam session, especially if there were issues with the previous link. Here’s how to do it.
Step 1:On the host’s device, openSpotifyand tap the ongoingJam session. Tap onInvite.
Step 2:Either scan theQR codeor turn onBluetoothand bring your device near the host’s device. If you’re far away, tap onShare link.
Then, share the invite link to the Spotify Jam session again using your preferred method. Use the link to rejoin the Jam session.
Fix 4: Uninstall and Reinstall Spotify
Uninstalling the Spotify app will ensure all previous settings and data are deleted. Once you reinstall it, the latest app copy will be installed, allowing you to start afresh. Check out our guide to know more aboutuninstalling an app on your iPhone. Android users can follow the below steps.
Step 1:Long-press theSpotify appicon and tap onUninstall. SelectOKto confirm.
Once the app finishes uninstalling, reinstall the app, log in to your Spotify account, and try using the Spotify Jam feature.
