Method 1: Using the Computer Management Tool

Computer Management Tool is one such tool that has been with Windows since its early days. It’s the one-place destination to access advanced Windows tools like Task Scheduler, Event Viewer, and Device Manager. Here’s how to do it.

Step 1:Right-click onStartand click onComputer Management.

Step 2:Click onDevice Managerfrom the left sidebar. The Device Manager menu options should appear in the right pane.

Method 2: Using the File Explorer

Besidesmanaging files and folders, File Explorer lets you open useful Windows tools, such as the Device Manager. So, follow the below steps to launch the Device Manager using File Explorer.

Step 1:Open theFile Explorerand click on thedriveyou’ve installed the OS. It’s C: drive for most users.

Step 2:Open theWindows folder.

Step 3:Here, click on theSystem32 folder.

Step 4.In the System 32 folder, search for and double-click on the file nameddevmgmt.mscto launch the Device Manager.

Method 3: Using the Control Panel

Step 1:Open theControl Panel> click onHardware and Sound.

Windows offers two command-line tools — Windows PowerShell and Command Prompt. You can use these tools to eliminate system issues and quickly open advanced Windows tools, like Device Manager. We are using Windows PowerShell for demonstration. Here’s how to do it.

Step 1:OpenWindows PowerShell, typedevmgmt.msc, and pressenterto run the command.

This should immediately open the Device Manager on Windows 11. You can also use this command with Command Prompt to launch the Device Manager app.
