4 Ways to Send Long Videos From iPhone

Method 1: Use AirDrop

Apple’s AirDrop is the best and most effective way to send large videos from iPhone to other Apple hardware. However, the service is limited to Apple hardware such as iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Step 1:Open thePhotos appon your iPhone and select a video you want to share.

Step 2:Tap on theShare iconat the bottom left > chooseAirDrop.

Step 3:The menu will automatically showcase nearby Apple devices. Select thedeviceyou want to share the file with and let AirDrop perform the magic.

iCloud users can easily share large videos from iPhones using the Photos menu. Here’s what to do.

Step 1:Open thePhotos appon your iPhone and look for the video you want to share.

Step 2:Tap on theShare iconat the bottom and find theOptions menubeside the video duration.

Step 3:From the following menu, selectiCloud Link. Then, select the platform from which you want the video. Photos will upload the video to iCloud (if it hasn’t already) and share theiCloud link.

Note:If you arerunning low on iCloud storage, you can’t upload the video to the platform and generate a shareable link.

Method 3: Use OneDrive or Google Drive

If you are a Microsoft 365 subscriber, the perk comes with 1TB OneDrive storage. Similarly, Google One users can opt for Google Drive to share large videos from iPhone.

First, upload the video to OneDrive or Google Drive and create a shareable link to share it with others. Let’s take Google Drive as an example here.

Step 1:Open thePhotos appand find the video. Then, tap on theShare iconand selectGoogle Drivefrom the iOS Share menu.

Step 2:Upload thevideoto a relevant folder in Google Drive.

Step 3:After uploading the video, open Google Drive and find the video you want to share. Tap on thethree-dot menuand selectShare. Then, enter another person’s Google email ID and share the video.

Similarly, upload the video to OneDrive and share the link to the video with the person you want to watch it.

Method 4: Using WeTransfer

You can use a third-party application like WeTransfer to send large or long videos from your iPhone. Here’s how:

Step 1:Download WeTransferon your iPhone and create an account.

Step 2:Tap theplus iconat the bottom left and tap theplus iconin the Get a link section.

Step 3:Upload the video you want to send, choose theexpiration dateof the link, and tapTransfer.

Step 4:Tap theSharebutton and share the link of the uploaded video on different platforms with your friends.

There are a few things to remember when using WeTransfer. First, WeTransfer only allows you to send up to 2GB of videos for free. If you want to send larger files, you must purchase its premium plan, which allows you to share up to 200GB of video. Furthermore, if you want to add a password to the shared link, you must purchase the WeTransfer Premium plan.
