4 Ways to Send PDFs From iPhone to Android

1. Using Chat Apps

Most popular instant messaging apps that work on all platforms support file sharing. You can use them to transfer PDFs from iPhone to Android. Some chat apps that can be used are WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, etc.

Step 1:Launch WhatsApp on your iPhone.

Step 2:Open the contact with whom you want to share the file. Tap on the+ iconat the bottom-left corner. SelectDocumentfrom the list.

Step 3:In the Files app, navigate to thefoldercontaining your PDF file. Tap on thePDF fileto select it.

Step 4:A preview of the PDF file will be shown to you. Tap on thesend button.

How to Send PDF Files From Telegram

Step 1:Launch theTelegramapp and open thecontact.

Step 2:Tap on thepaperclip iconat the bottom. SelectFilefrom the menu.

Step 3:Navigate to the PDF file and tap on it to send it.

2. Use Web-Based File Sharing Tools

You can also use web-based sharing tools likeSnapdropandSharedropto transfer PDFs from iPhone to Android. They are similar to Apple’s Airdrop but work across platforms using any browser. From your iPhone, tap on your Android phone’s avatar or name and select Browse from the menu.

Step 1:Open theShareDrop websiteon your iPhone and Android from any browser.

Step 2:You will see the names of the people connected to the same Wi-Fi network. From your iPhone, tap on theavatarornameof your Android phone and tap onFiles.

Step 3:Find thePDFyou want to send and tap on it. Both sender and receiver will be asked to confirm if they wish to send and receive. Accept the confirmation and your PDF will be sent to your Android phone.

3. Use Cloud Storage Services

To send a PDF from your iPhone to an Android device, use cloud storage services like Google Drive or Dropbox. You must upload the PDF and share the link with the Android user. Later, log into the same cloud service on the Android phone to access and download the PDF directly.

Step 1:LaunchGoogle Driveon your iPhone.

Step 2:Tap on the+ iconat the bottom. SelectUpload filefollowed byBrowse.

Step 3:Go to thefoldercontaining your PDF and tap on it to upload it to Google Drive.

Step 4:Once added to Google Drive, tap on thethree-dot iconnext to the PDF file in Drive and selectCopy Link.Paste and send the link to the Android user.

4. Use Ebook Reader Apps

To share a PDF ebook with your Android phone, use cross-platform ebook reader apps like Google Play Books, Kindle, or Adobe Acrobat. Upload the PDF to the app on your iPhone, then open the app on your Android device, and download the file.

Step 1:Open theFiles appon your iPhone or iPad.

Step 2:Navigate to thePDF file. Touch and hold the file. SelectSharefrom the menu.

Step 3:From the sharing menu, importtoGoogle Play Books.

Step 4:When added successfully, openGoogle Play Bookson your Android phone and log in with the same Google account you used on your iOS device.
