Thanks for this clear explanation. It’s a shame that none of these options give me what I had in Windows 10: There I could open the Activities and desktops view (four-finger swipe up on my trackpad) and then scroll down to see the main files I had open each day. I could click on more details for a day and see what I was doing hour-by-hour. This was extremely useful when filling in my timesheet at the end of the working week. Why does Microsoft (and Google and Apple) disable features we used to have, in the name of progress?
