Choosing a new TV for your living or audio-video room isn’t straightforward. Many factors, including picture quality, feature set, audio output, price, and size, need to be considered. But fret not. We are here to help with our list of the best TVs for 2024 to make this buying decision easier for you.

If you’re on a budget, the Hisense U8K is arguably the best TV you can buy in 2024. It comes with a mini-LED panel, which helps the TV offer great picture quality and excellent color reproduction for a wide variety of content formats. The TV’s high brightness levels surpass many midrange OLEDs and LED TVs. At the same time, the excellent black levels result in impressive HDR performance. And the support for Dolby Vision and HDR10 is the cherry on top.

The viewing angle is great. Plus, the bright panel and anti-glare coating make it perfect for well-lit rooms. To complete the package, it also gets the goodness of Google TV, which brings with it lag-free performance and a ton of popular streaming applications.

LG C3

Although not the latest in the LG C series of OLED TVs, the C3 is definitely the TV that we’d recommend to most buyers. It’s the best bet for an entry-level OLED TV right now and offers an excellent price-to-performance ratio. The C3 uses a standard OLED panel, as opposed to the newer generation QD-OLED panels found on more expensive OLEDs. While this hinders its ability to get super bright, it still manages to get the job done, thanks to its ability to offer vibrant visuals and accurate colors.

The dark scene performance on this one is top-notch since the panel uses self-emitting pixels. Besides that, you get support for features such as Dolby Vision HDR to improve the overall experience of watching movies and shows on the TV. To sum it up, it’s still one of the best OLED TVs of 2024 and definitely comes recommended if you’re not in the mood to spend over the top for your next TV.

Samsung’s QN90C is a premium offering that promises good—if not the best—picture performance on a TV right now. Thanks to its super bright panel, it offers excellent HDR performance and equally good color reproduction and accuracy.

While retailing around the same price as the LG C3, the QN90C only offers a mini-LED panel with a QLED film on top of it. However, the dark scene performance is not as satisfactory because of the occasional blooming issue. Other than that, the QN90C only impresses and proves there’s a place for QLEDs even in the midrange and premium segments of the market. Overall, it’s an excellent buy if you plan to set it up in a bright room.

The A95L from Sony showcases the best that Sony offers in terms of performance, if not price. Despite being an OLED TV, it offers excellent peak brightness. However, this isn’t the only impressive thing about the TV. Thanks to the use of self-emitting pixels at its core, the TV can offer excellent dark scene performance and is brilliant at handling shadows and contrast. You get deep pure blacks and good brightness levels. Naturally, all these factors result in ultimate HDR performance.

Sony’s work with its picture engine also ensures you get the most natural color profiling on a TV right now, with skin tones and general color reproduction bang on point. The TV also bundles in good gaming features, especially if you plan to pair it with a PlayStation 5.

Arguably the best TV on the market right now, the S95D from Samsung offers everything and then some more that you’d want from your next TV. All thanks to its latest generation QD-OLED panel, this TV can offer excellent brightness and equally impressive black levels. These factors set it apart as a TV not just for 2024 but also for the future. Plus, the design is second to none in terms of its aesthetic appeal.

With Samsung’s powerful picture engine at play, you get ultra-sharp texture quality and vibrant colors that are pleasing to the eye — if not always true to life. Contrast and shadows are also on point, and the dark scene performance is wow. To Samsung’s credit, it has also equipped this TV with some of the best speakers that can be found on a TV right now. However, the use of Tizen OS is something that might not go well with all buyers.
