5 Fixes for Roblox Installer Not Working on Windows

Fix 1: Try Launching Roblox From the AppData Folder
The Roblox installation process on Windows can sometimes become stuck for various reasons, making it seem like the installer is not working. To fix this, you can try running RobloxPlayerLauncher.exe from the AppData folder. This will force Roblox to resume the installation process and solve your problem.
Step 1:Press theWindows key + Rto open the Run dialog box.
Step 2:Type%localappdata%\Roblox\Versionsin the box and pressEnter.
Step 3:In the File Explorer window that appears, open the version folder. If you see several entries for the version folder, select the most recent one.
Step 4:LocateRobloxPlayerLauncher.exeon the list, right-click on it, and selectRun as administrator.
Wait for the Roblox installation to complete, and the game should launch automatically after that.
Fix 2: Delete the Roblox AppData Folder
If running RobloxPlayerLauncher.exe proves ineffective, you can consider deleting all the Roblox files and proceeding with a fresh installation. This should help fix issues caused by incomplete installation or missing game files.
To remove Roblox game files from Windows, use these steps:
Step 1:Press theWindows key + Rto open the Run dialog box. Type%localappdata%in the Open field and pressEnter.
Step 2:Locate and select theRobloxfolder and click thetrash iconat the top to delete it.
Restart your PC after this and try running the Roblox installer to see if it works.
Fix 3: Clear Temporary Files
You may be unable to install Roblox due to corrupt or inaccessible temporary files on your PC. If that’s the case,deleting temporary files from your PCshould help. Here’s how you can go about it.
Step 1:Press theWindows key + Rto access the Run dialog box. Type%temp%in the text box and pressEnter.
Step 2:In the Temp folder, select all the files using theCtrl + Akeyboard shortcut, and then click thetrash iconat the top to delete them.
Once you complete the above steps, the Roblox installer should work as expected.
Fix 4: Run Roblox Installer as Administrator
Another thing you can do is run the Roblox installer withadministrative privileges. This will grant the installer the highest level of access to your system and allow it to operate smoothly without interruptions.
Step 1:Right-click on theRobloxPlayerInstaller.exefile and selectRun as administratorfrom the context menu.
Wait for the Roblox installation to finish, and you should then be able to play the game.
Fix 5: Install Roblox From the Microsoft Store
Running the Roblox installer isn’t the only way to get Roblox on your PC, as the game is also available on the Microsoft Store. So, if Roblox won’t install on your Windows 10 or 11 PC, trydownloading it from the Microsoft Store.
