5 Ways to Find Your Android When it’s in Silent Mode

Method 1: Use the Find My Device App on Another Phone

If you have enabled Find My Device on your Android phone, you can play a sound to find it using another phone when it is in silent mode.

Step 1:Download and open theFind My Device appon another phone. Tap onSign in as Guest.

Step 2:Use theGoogle Accountlogged in to the device you are trying to find.

Step 3:Once logged in to the app, tapPlay Sound. This will play a sound on the device that helps you find it.

Method 2: Use the Find My Device App on the Web

If you can’t access another device, you can useFind My Deviceon a web browser. Log in with the Google Account present on the device you’re trying to find. Once you log in, select the device andPlay Soundto find it.

Method 3: Use Your Smartwatch

On a WearOS smartwatch, you can use the Find My Phone app to find the paired Android device. Open the app from the app drawer, and tap onStartto play a sound on your Android device.

Method 4: Use a Digital Home Assistant

If you’re using aGoogle Homedevice, use the command ‘Hey Google, Find my Phone’ to help you find your phone.

If you’re using anAlexa, you can use theskillcalledPhone Finder, and use the command “Alexa, open Phone Finder and search for my phone” whenever you want to find it.

Method 5: Use a Third Party App

Clap to Find Your Phoneis an app that plays a loud sound on your Android device when you clap or blow a whistle. Fun fact – the app works without an internet connection, meaning you can activate a sound on your Android device when it isn’t connected to the internet.

Download the app, andactivatethe feature. You can simplyclapto play a sound on your device, and when you find it, use thedeactivate buttonto stop playing the sound.

You can also select the sound you want to play when the app detects a clap or a whistle.
