5 Ways to Fix Google Chrome Not Working on iPhone

Fix 1: Turn off Google Discover
The Discover feature in Chrome suggests articles based on your interests on the home page. Oddly enough, several people have fixed recurring Chrome issues on their iPhones by turning off the Discover feed in Chrome. You can also give it a go.
Step 1:LaunchChromeon your iPhone > tap thethree-dot menu iconat the bottom right > selectSettings.
Step 2:Toggle offDiscover.
Fix 2: Disable Content Restrictions
If your issues with Google Chrome are limited to a few websites, check if you’ve enabled any content restrictions on your iPhone. These restrictions can often prevent you from visiting certain web pages or specific content on those web pages. Here’s how to turn them off.
Step 1:Open theSettingsapp on your iPhone > navigate toScreen Time.
Step 2:TapContent & Privacy Restrictionsand turn it off.
Fix 3: Clear Chrome Cache and Cookies
Like its desktop counterpart, Chrome for iOS also collects cache data while browsing the web. The more you use Chrome, the more cache data it collects to save bandwidth and reduce loading times. However, if this data becomes corrupted or inaccessible, Chrome may not function properly. To fix this, clear Chrome’s cache and cookies by following the steps below.
Step 1:OpenChromeon your iPhone > tap thethree-dot menu iconat the bottom > selectSettings.
Step 2:Go toPrivacy and Security>Clear Browsing Data.
Step 3:Tap theTime Rangeoption > selectAll time> return to theClear Browsing Datapage.
Step 4:MarkCookies, Site Data, andCached Images and Filesoptions. Then, hitClear Browsing Dataat the bottom > selectClear Browsing Dataagain.
Fix 4: Change DNS Server
By default, your iPhone uses the DNS server provided by your ISP. However, if you’re havingtrouble loading web pages in Safarior Chrome, switch to a different DNS server. Here’s how.
Step 1:Launch theSettingson your iPhone > navigate toWi-Fi> tap theinfo iconnext to your Wi-Fi network.
Step 2:Scroll down toDNS> tap onConfigure DNS> selectManual.
Step 3:Tap theminus iconto remove the prefilled entries under DNS servers. TapAdd Serverto create a new entry for Google DNS by entering8.8.8.8and8.8.4.4in the text box shown. Then, hitSave.
Fix 5: Reinstall Chrome
If nothing works, uninstall andreinstall Chrome on your iPhoneas a last resort. This will give Chrome a fresh start and fix any performance issues with the app.
