5 Ways to Fix iPad and iPhone Stuck on Siri Suggestions

Basic Fixes:
Fix 1: Perform a Soft Reset
A little different from your regular reset, a soft reset allows you to refresh all the settings and features on your device without losing data. You can use this if Siri Suggestions have made your device unresponsive. Follow the steps below in quick succession if your device runs iOS 16 and above.
Step 1:Press and release thevolume up button. Then, press and release thevolume down button.
Step 2:Quickly press and hold theside buttonuntil the Apple logo appears.
Release the button and wait for your device to restart. Once done, enter your password, if required, and try using Siri Suggestions again.
Fix 2: Disable and Enable Siri Suggestions
If you’re frequently facing the issue of Siri Suggestions getting stuck, you can turn them off from the Settings app. Then, turn the setting back on to see if the problem has been fixed. Here’s how to do it.
Step 1:OpenSettingsand tap onSiri & Search.
Step 2:Go to the Before Searching section and turn off theShow Suggestionstoggle.
Step 3:Scroll down and turn off theShow in Look UpandShow in Spotlighttoggles.
Step 4:After a few seconds, turn the relevanttogglesback on again and try using the Siri Suggestion again.

Fix 3: Remove Siri Suggestions From the Widget Stack
The Siri Suggestions widget stack is handy when accessing the frequently used apps. However, it could interfere when using Siri Suggestions separately. To fix this, you can remove the Siri Suggestions widget from the Smart Stack of widgets on your device. Follow the below steps to do it.
Step 1:Long-press on anyempty spaceon the widget stack until the options appear.
Step 2:Go to the Siri Suggestions widget stack and tap on the– icon. Tap onRemoveto confirm.
Once the Siri Suggestions widget stack is removed, try using Siri Suggestions again to check if the issue has been resolved. You can also re-add the widget stack later if required.

Fix 4: Delete Siri History
To help Apple better understand your interaction with Siri, your interaction history is stored on Apple’s servers for a set period. However, this history can also get in the way of using Siri Suggestions on your device. To fix this, you can delete Siri’s search and dictation history from your device. Here’s how.
Step 1:OpenSettingsand tap onSiri & Search. Tap onSiri & Dictation History.
Step 2:Then, tap onDelete Siri & Dictation Historyto delete Siri history.
Fix 5: Reset All Settings
Resetting your device will reset your device to factory default. It would clear saved Wi-Fi passwords, privacy settings, and more. You can also check our explainer to understandwhat the Reset All Settings option does. If you would still like to proceed, follow the below steps.
Step 1:OpenSettingsand tap onGeneral. Tap onTransfer or Reset iPhone.
Step 2:SelectResetand tap onReset All Settings.
If prompted, enter your device’s password to complete the process. Once done, try using Siri Suggestions again to see if the issue has been fixed.
