5 Ways to Fix Sync Is Currently Experiencing Problems on Android

Basic Fixes:
Fix 1: Set Date and Time to Automatic
If your device’s date and time don’t match your current location, it can cause issues when using sync services. To prevent this, set the date and time to update automatically. This way, your Android device will auto-fetch details based on your location. Here’s how to do it.
Step 1:OpenSettings> tap onGeneral management>Date and time.
Step 2:Enable the toggles forAutomatic date and timeandAutomatic time zone.
Fix 2: Turn off Battery Saver
Android might experience sync issues if battery-saver mode is turned on. This happens because your device prioritizes saving battery life over smooth functioning. So, if your Android phone is sufficiently charged, turn off the battery saver and see if this fixes the sync issue. Here’s how.
Step 1:Pull down from the top of the screen twice to open the fullQuick Settings panel.
Step 2:Here, tap onPower savingto turn off the battery saver.
Fix 3: Disable and Enable Sync
You can also disable and re-enable sync on your Android phone. This can help resolve any temporary issues causing account sync services to fail. Follow the below steps to do it.
Step 1:Pull down twice from the top of the screen to openQuick Settings.
Step 2:Here, tap on theSync tileto disable sync. Tap onOKwhen prompted. Wait a while, then tap on it again to re-enable sync.
Fix 4: Re-Add Your Google Account
If your Google account’s credentials have recently changed, it might have issues when syncing data. So,remove the Google account from your phone. Then, add it back to see if this fixes the sync issue on your Android device. Here’s how to do it.
Step 1:OpenSettingsand tap onAccounts and backup. Tap onManage accounts.
Step 2:From the list, tap on therelevant Google account. Then, tap onRemove accountand confirm the same.
Step 3:Now, go to the bottom of the manage accounts page and tap onAdd account. Enter the Google account ID and password to add it back to your phone. Then, check again.
Fix 5: Clear Google App Cache and Data
Most Android apps collect cache and data to help improve app functions. However, if this data gets corrupted, this can also inversely affect the app. When this happens, clear the cache and data for the Google app on your Android phone to see if this fixes the sync issue. Here’s how to do it.
Step 1:OpenSettingsand tap onApps. Scroll down and tap onGoogle.
Step 2:Tap onStorage. Then, tap onClear cache.
Step 3:Once done, tap onClear data. When prompted, tap onDelete.
Wait for Google app data to be cleared. If required, set up the Google account again and check if the sync is working as expected on your Android phone.
