5 Ways to Take Screenshots Without Power Button on Android

Method 1: Use Gestures

You can use Gestures to capture ascreenshot– on Xiaomi devices, go toSettings>Additional Settings>Gestures> enable theSlide 3 fingers downgesture.

Whenever I swipe down on the screen with three fingers, the device captures a screenshot.

Method 2: Use Quick Tap (Pixel Devices)

On Pixel or any device running stock Android – go toSettings > System>Gestures> enableQuick Tap. Then, select theTake Screenshotoption.

You can now tap the back of your device twice to capture a screenshot.

Method 3: Use Accessibility Menu Shortcut

The Accessibility Menu packs handy shortcuts that can be accessed by a floating button.

Step 1:Go toSettings>Accessibility>Accessibility Menuand enable the shortcut.

Step 2:You will see ayellow floating buttonon your screen. Tap on it. You will find a set of shortcuts. Tap onScreenshot.

You can access this floating menu and the shortcuts while using any application.

Method 4: Use Quickball

You may also find theQuickballorAssistive Ball– a floating menu that contains useful shortcuts.

Step 1:Go toSettings>Additional SettingsorSpecial Featuresto enable the same.

Step 2: You will see a floating button appear on any app you are using—tap on it and then use thecapture screenshotbutton.

Method 5: Use Third-Party Apps

If you’re uncomfortable with or unable to find the above shortcuts, use a third-party app from Google Play Store to capture screenshots without physical buttons.

1. Screenshot Touch

Screenshot Touch adds a floating button to capture a screenshot. This button is available on any app you use.

Step 1:Download and open theScreenshot Touch appand enable theAccessibility service.

Note:You will be redirected to the Settings app. Selectdownloaded appsand enable theScreenshot Touchapp.

Step 2:Then, open theStart capture monitoring servicein the app, and the floating button will be enabled. Tap on it to capture a screenshot.

2. Screenshot Assistant

Screenshot Assistant is an app that lets you capture screenshots as you tap and hold the home button.

Step 1:Download theScreenshot Assistantapp, open it, and tap onAssist App Preferences.

Step 2:Then, replace theDigital Assistantapp with the Screenshot Assistant app; meaning you can’t access Google Assistant from the home button shortcut.

Step 3:Once you do the above, tap and hold thehome buttonto capture the screenshot.
