5 Ways to Turn off OneDrive Memories Notifications on Windows and Mobile

Method 1. Make Changes From OneDrive Settings on the Desktop
Step 1:Click on theOneDrive iconon the system tray, click theSettings icon, and then click on theSettingsmenu.
Step 2:In theOneDrive Settingswindow, switch to theNotificationssection andtoggle offthe option—Notify me when “On this day” memories are available.
Method 2. Turn off Email Notifcation From OneDrive Web
Email notifications are also part of On This Day memories; if it’s too much for you, you can turn it off from the web.
Step 1:Go to OneDrive web, click on theSettings gearat the top, and clickOptions.
Step 2:LocateNotifications, and turn off theOn this day memories are availableoption.
Method 3. Disable OneDrive at Startup
if you seldom use OneDrive, you can disable it from launching as the computer starts. Since OneDrive services automatically start in the background when you sign in to your Windows PC it keeps sending you memory notifications even when you are not actively using the service.
Step 1:Open theSettings appon Windows (use the Windows + I keys).
Step 2:Go to theApps > Startup.
Step 4:Toggle off OneDrivefrom the list of apps. From now on, OneDrive won’t start services in the background (until you open it) and won’t show memory notifications on your PC.
Method 4. Disable OneDrive Notifications on Desktop
Microsoft allows you todisable notificationsfrom installed apps on Windows. If you no longer need OneDrive to send irrelevant notifications, you can disable the service’s notifications from the Settings menu.
Step 1:Open Windows Settings, and navigate toSystem>Notifications.
Step 3:Scroll down toMicrosoft OneDriveand toggle it off. It will no longer send memory notifications.
Method 5. OneDrive Mobile Apps
You have successfully disabled the OneDrive memories notification on Windows. But what about OneDrive mobile apps? Disabling OneDrive notifications on Windows will not affect mobile apps.
Step 1:Open theOneDrive app on your phone and tap on theMe iconat the bottom right.
Step 2:In the Me screen, tap onSettingsand then onNotifications.
Step 3:Under the Photos section,turn off On this day and memories from last month.
