6 Ways to Customize the Telegram App

Method 1: Change Chat Background

This one is basic and practically available in any messaging app now. You can change the background wallpaper in theTelegram chatand add one from the Gallery app.

Step 1:OpenTelegramand go toSettings.

Step 2:Navigate toAppearance>Chat Backgroundand select a relevantwallpaperfrom the list.

You can evenapply wallpaper from the Photos/Galleryapp. Tap onChoose from Photosand select an image.

Method 2: Change App Theme

This is another cool feature that lets you change the look and feel of Telegram. By default, the Telegram theme is set to Blue. You can change it to Green, Pink, Red, and more.

On iPhone

Step 1:OpenTelegramand go toSettings>Appearance menu.

Step 2:Select yourfavorite themefrom the Color menu and tap on thethree-dot menufor further customization.

Step 3:You can select a specific color forBackground, Accent,andMessages.

On Android

Step 1:FromTelegram Settings, open theChat Settingsmenu.

Step 2:Select theColor themeand tap onthe three-dot menu. Similar to iOS, you can change theBackground, Accent,andMessagecolor to your liking.

Fix 3: Change Text Size

If the default text size is too big or small, you can also customize that in Telegram. Here’s how.

On iPhone

Step 1:Go toTelegram Settings > Appearance > Text Size.

Step 2:By default, Telegram usessystem Text size. Increase or decrease it based on your preference. HitSetand you will be good to go.

On Android

Step 1:Navigate toTelegram Settings > Chat Settings.

Step 2:Use the slider toincrease or decreasethe Telegram text size.

Fix 4: Change Message Corners

If you are not fond of messages corners in Telegram, you can reduce the corner radius.

On iPhone

Step 1:Open theAppearance menuin Telegram Settings.

Step 2:SelectMessage Cornersand dial down thecorner curvearound messages.

On Android

Step 1:Go toChat Settingsin Telegram.

Step 2:Use thesliderto change the message’s corner radius. You can check the live preview from the top.

Method 5: Change the Telegram App Icon (If the Feature Is Available)

If the default Telegram app icon feels boring, change it from the Settings menu. You will get some extra options for app icons if you have subscribed toTelegram Premium. This feature is available for both iPhone and Android users.

Step 1:Go toTelegram Settings > Appearance/Chat Settingsmenu.

Step 2:Scroll down and select arelevant app iconfor Telegram. We liked the one with a gradient theme.

Method 6: Create Custom Theme
