How to Add Music to WhatsApp Status on iPhone and Android

Method 1: Put WhatsApp Status With a Song

WhatsAppallows you to record the sound along with the video for the status. So, use this feature to your advantage and add your favorite music to the status.

Step 1:Play any songyou wish to use as the background music for your WhatsApp status on the speaker.

Step 2: Now,open WhatsAppwhile the song plays in the background. Go to status and start recording your status. Ensure that the music playback is loud enough.

Step 3: Once done, preview the recording and hit theblue arrowat the bottom if everything is in the right order. Your WhatsApp status will be uploaded.

Method 2: Set Photo or Video With a Song in WhatsApp Status

While the previous method allows you to add music to a WhatsApp status, you can only do that when recording a video. To upload a pre-recorded video with music, download Vidma Editor oniPhoneandAndroiddevices.

Step 1:Download and open Vidma Editor. Tap onNew Project.

Step 2:Selectphoto(s),video(s), or both to add to a single WhatsApp status.

Step 3:You will see atimelineof the added media files toedit and rearrangethe content. Now, use theTap to Add Musicbutton to pick a song.

Step 4:Once done,adjust the songaccording to the timeline.

Tip: If you use individual photos, you canextend their durationin the timeline.

Step 5:Now, click onexport, and it will be saved to the Photos app. You can upload the video on your WhatsApp status.
