How to Add or Change Home and Work Location on Google Maps

How to Set Home and Work Location on Google Maps
Step 1:Tap on theSaved tabon the bottom toolbar.
Note:If you are on the web, access the saved tab by clicking on thehamburger menuat the top right corner >Your Places.
Step 2:SelectLabelledin the new window. You can choose between home and work locations.
Step 3: Searchfor your address and select thecorrect onefrom the search results.
But if your address can’t be searched, set your home location on Google Maps by choosing a pin on the map.
Step 4:Tap onChoose on Mapafter selecting to set the home location. Place thepinon the map and tap onOK.
Once you’ve done this, repeat the above steps to set the work location as well. That’s how to set home and work locations on Google Maps.

How to Edit Home or Work Address on Google Maps
If you change your home or job and want to change the corresponding location on Google Maps, follow the steps below.
Note: Editing the addresses is not possible on the web. You can only remove the addresses and add them again. In that case, skip to the next section.
Step 1:Tap on theSavedtab on the bottom toolbar.
Note:If you are on the web, access the saved tab by clicking on thehamburger menuat the top right corner >Your Places.
Step 2:SelectLabelledin the new window > tap on thethree dots iconnext to the home or work location.
Step 3:SelectEdit Home.
You will now have the option to select your home address. You can either enter a new address or select one from the map.
Note:To delete your home or work address, use theRemove home/workbutton in theEdit/Home or Workscreen.
How to Change Icon for Home and Work Location in Google Maps
Google Mapshas added a few fun elements to its app, and you can select an icon for your home or work addresses.
Step 1:Tap on theSaved tabon the bottom toolbar.
Note:If you are on the web, access the saved tab by clicking on thehamburger menuat the top right corner >Your Places.
Step 2:SelectLabelledin the new window > tap on thethree dots iconnext to the home or work location.
Step 3:Select theChangeicon > select thedesired icon> tap onSave.
There you go, now your home or work location will have a fancy new icon.
