You can add effects to words or phrases onFacebook Messenger— to make them look cool. Here’s how.
Add Specific Effects to Words and Phrases on Facebook Messenger
Special effects are added on a per-chat basis. So, you’ll have to repeat these steps for all the chats in which you want these effects.
Step 1:Open any conversation on Facebook Messenger. Tap theFacebook friend’s nameat the top. SelectWord effects.
Step 2:Add a word or phrase and assign a corresponding emoji. Every time you type that word, the emoji pops up.
Note:This solution is available on Messenger for iPhone, Android, and iPad only.
Remove Special Effects for Words in Facebook Messenger
Bored with the effects? Here’s how to remove them.
Open the desired conversation. Tap on thename at the topand go toWord effects. Then, press and hold on the word effect. You’ll see a pop-up sayingRemove. Tap on it.
Open contact info in Facebook Messenger by tapping on thecontact’s namein a chat. Head toWord effects. Swipe left on an effect. Then, selectDelete.
The same method is applicable to groups too.
Add Special Effects to Messenger Camera
You can also apply fancy effects and filters while using the built-inMessenger camera. Here’s what you need to do. Open a conversation. Tap the camera icon. Swipe left or right to check all the filters in action.
