If you only want to remove one entry from your search history on Instagram or remove individual entries manually, here’s how to do it.

Step 1:Open the Instagram app on your smartphone. Tap on thesearch iconat the bottom of the screen.

Step 2:Tap thesearch barat the top.

Step 3:You will see a list of your recent searches. Tap on theXbutton next to the entry you want to remove.

How to Remove Your Entire Search History From Instagram

Too many people on your suggested list? Here’s how to reset your Instagram search suggestions quickly.

Step 1:Open the Instagram app on your smartphone and tap yourprofile iconin the bottom-right corner.

Step 2:Select thehamburger menuin the top-right corner and selectYour activity.

Step 3:TapRecent searchesand hit theClear Allbutton in the top-right corner.

How to Turn Off Account Suggestions on Instagram

Aside from clearing search suggestions, you can alsoprevent Instagram from suggesting accountsentirely. Here’s how:

Note: You need touse Instagram on your browserto achieve this. It will not work using the app.

Step 1:Head over to theInstagram websiteon your computer using the link below. Log in to your account.

Step 2:ClickMorein the bottom left corner and selectSettings.

Step 3:Uncheck theShow account suggestions on profilescheckbox.

Note:If you disable suggestions using this method, your profile will also not be suggested to others.
