How to Enable Microsoft Outlook Mail Notifications on Windows 11

Method 1: Enable Email Notifications in Outlook
If you notice that taskbar notifications from your Outlook app are not popping up, check your Outlook Settings first. By default, your Outlook mail notification setting must display a desktop alert when you get an email. With that option checked, you can receive taskbar notifications from Outlook.
Here’s how to update your Outlook settings:
Step 1:Launch theOutlook app.
Step 2:On the Outlook ribbon, click on theFiletab.
Step 3:On the sidebar menu, clickOptions.
Step 4:On the Outlook Options window, click theMailoption from the left sidebar and scroll down the Mail settings to theMessage arrivalgroup on the right.
Step 5:Tick the following options to ensure you get sound and visual notifications on your Windows 11 taskbar when you receive a new email:
Step 6:ClickOKat the bottom of the Outlook Options window to save your changes.
Step 7:Close the Outlook Options window, and your changes should take effect.
Method 2: Enable Desktop Notifications for Outlook
Whilecreating a reminder on Outlookmeans you do not miss emails, you may also enable desktop notifications for Outlook. This solution will work when you use Outlook on the web. You should simply follow the steps below.
Step 1:Open theOutlook web service.
Step 2:Click theSettings iconat the top right corner.
Step 3:ClickGeneral> clickNotifications> on the right pane, toggle onSend me desktop notifications, check the boxFor messages, and selectMessages in inbox.
Method 3: Update the Notifications & Actions Settings
The notification center on your Windows 11 PC is where you will find app notifications and quick actions for your frequently used apps and settings. You can update the Settings app configuration for messages in the Notification & Action Center.
Step 1:PressWindows+Ito open the Settings app, clickSystemon the left pane, and click onNotificationson the right.
Step 2:Toggle on theNotificationsswitch.
Step 3:Scroll down and turn on the toggle for Outlook.
