Before we move forward, we need to look at the phone carrier and their email-SMS gateway address. This will be useful to forward the email as a text message.

Note:You need to usethe actual number where it is mentioned in thefollowing email-SMS gateways.

If you can’t find your carrier in the list, quickly search Google for the keyword “forward an email as SMS in CarrierX.” As you can assume, add your phone carrier name instead of CarrierX. This will help determine your carrier’s gateway.

Tip:Consider effective ways offixing SMS when they are not sending.

How to Forward an Email as a Text Message

Forwarding an email as text will work on any device and with any email service provider, such as Gmail or Outlook. The steps to forward email to your phone as a text are mostly the same regardless of your email client; below, we use Gmail as an example.

Step 1:Open Gmail and log into your account if you haven’t already.

Step 2:Right-click over the email you want to forward and chooseForward.

Step 3:This will open the email in a new compose window. Here, shorten the message, as many SMS clients will not allow you to send texts longer than 200-300 characters.

Step 4:Now, in the recipient area, mention your carrier’s email-to-SMS gateway (the one we mentioned earlier).

Step 5:Once you are sure about all the changes, clickSend.
